Baa! Baa!

Raise your hand if your kids are in a Nativity play this December! Any other sheep out there? (Parents of shepherds, check out the last-minute DIY shepherd costumes the boys wore two years ago.) BOTH Max AND Charlie came out of Primary last Sunday and said that they needed a sheep costume by the 8th. Fortunately – I don’t know if you’ve heard – but I’m awesome.

Baa, baa, sheep hat, have you any wool? (Nope. Acrylic.)

How fun is that? I absolutely love that stitch pattern for anything sheepy: it’s just alternating sc and tr, but it is just SO textural and fun. I just have to finish the ears for the second hat and they will both be done. Here’s a picture of Teddy getting in on the modeling action:

So. Stinking. Cute.

Cute, cute, cute. I’ve written up the pattern and you can go get it for free…you know. In case any last-minute sheep are in your life this month. It’s designed to fit children, but I’ve included notes to help alter it for babies or adults. Go check it out!

Last night I was looking for patterns for little boys. I found your airplane and snitch. I can’t wait to make them. My older daughter will love the dodo. Do you have a facebook page? I’d like to follow your blog but I don’t know how. Thanks. I know some children will love your patterns
