It’s a boy!
March 28, 2006 on 6:35 pm | In Life in General | 2 CommentsWell, since everyone who needs to be personally informed has been informed, I thought you guys might be interested to know that. . . it’s a boy! Max is going to have a little brother. Yay! That means I don’t need to buy a whole new baby wardrobe, heeheehee, AND that I already have the name hammered out. (A girl’s name was killing me…)
So, I haven’t crocheted in forever, but I think I will recover - I bought some yarn today, including some pale blue baby yarn and some little white heart-shaped buttons. (I especially like the buttons. They’re cute.) Now, what could I possibly make with pale blue baby yarn and little white heart-shaped buttons…?
I’m not quite dead…
March 6, 2006 on 1:44 pm | In Life in General | 2 CommentsI’m feeling much better. I think I’ll go for a walk -
Hahaha. I should watch that movie again. My cold is slowly disappating, and I have high hopes that when it vanishes my nausea will leave me alone again. I would really appreciate that: I hate being nauseous. It’s so nauseating… At any rate, I’ve got a lot of things to do today (which I’m obviously not doing at the moment) as I’m leaving tomorrow night to go for a visit to my family. Max is coming, of course - he gets to fly on my lap. I’m a bit apprehensive about that, simply because it is no longer in his nature to sit still for even such a short time as 2 hours without considerable distracto-batics on my part. (Haha, you like that? I just made that word up. But anyone who’s had to keep a toddler still and quiet over 5 minutes knows what distracto-batics are.)
We’re going to have quite an adventure. Max is going to have the time of his life with all of the kitties and doggies - not to mention various farm animals - that he will meet, and his various aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents will have a ball playing with him. (He know so many more games than the last time we visited…) The only possible damper I can think of is the difference in the climate. Here, it’s been sunny and in the upper eighties to nineties for weeks. Max gets to play outside almost every single day in shorts and a t-shirt. I inquired about the weather for packing purposes and was shocked when I found out that my family is having temperatures in the 50-60 degree range, with rain. (Rain? What?) I knew it would be cooler there, but I was thinking, 60s-70s. That would have been very nice. Max only owns perhaps 3 pair of long pants and one sweater, so I hope we’ll be able to make it work.
Ah, well, we’ll have fun regardless, so woohoo!
