Wondering where I’ve been since Christmas? The answer is simple and adorable.
I had my baby.
She is, as the ultrasound promised me, a girl (whew!) born at home at 40 weeks on the dot, one day after the due date I calculated and one day before the due date my midwife calculated, just shy of 8 pounds. She’s a very nice baby.
Even very nice babies take a lot of time, however, and I’m just starting to get back into the swing of things. Crochetvolution is in the works but will (obviously) be late. In the meantime, those of you who knit, please feel free to check out a couple of free patterns I designed in anticipation of my baby girl.
First, a little sweater:
and second, a little bonnet I made to coordinate with it.
I hope you like them! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some serious baby-snuggling to do.
Congrats! I knew you were getting close to your due date, but I wasn’t sure exactly when it was.
Congratulations! She’s absolutely adorable. Hooray for having babies at home.
So happy for you and your growing family! A precious baby.
Thank you very much.
Congrats on your daughter. Midwives are the BEST!
Thank you! This was my first time with a midwife, and I LOVED it!!!
