Two months after I started it, it’s finally finished.
Of course, I started it to fit the boys two months ago, and they’ve undoubtedly been growing. I was more than a little nervous that it wouldn’t even go on. Moment of truth:
Whew. How cute is that!?! Ahem, I mean, I’m really happy with how it turned out. I designed it myself, so I was concerned about the sizing and proportions but it just turned out beautifully. I’m so proud. It took almost exactly one skein of Knit Picks Bare (Superwash Merino Worsted Weight) and I made it on size 6s so it would be nice and sturdy.
As you can see, the cable pattern is repeated on the back,
and I did an inverted three-needle bind off at the top of the sleeves to make a neat little ridge down the seam. I think it makes a nice detail on the otherwise simple sleeves. Just one more thing:
BABY!
So cute! The sweater’s pretty snazzy too. 😉
Oh man–very cute on both accounts, the sweater AND the model!
speaking of the model (BTW Impressive Sweater) do your little ones roll over and stuff?
Your cable pattern is wicked awesome!!
