I recently learned that a dear, sweet relative of mine was expecting twins – around Christmas time. So you see, of course, that I really had no choice:
I made her some hats. Then, this morning, I received a message that one of the babies had gone and done something unexpected…
…divided.
If I may put that more succinctly, “AAAAAH! She’s having TRIPLETS!!!”
It’s way too early to tell whether they are boys or girls (or a mixture) so I made a little something to include in the package I am sending her.
Personally, I think it’s hilarious.
“It’s a Girl” Bow
Materials
- Â Approximately 5 yards worsted weight yarn
- H (5.00mm) hook
- Yarn needle
Directions:
Bow:
Row 1: Leaving a few inches of yarn before your slipknot, ch 14. Skip 2 sts, dc in next stitch and each across. (12 dc) Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, dc in each st across. (12 dc) Finish off, weave in ends.
Band:
Row 1: Ch 6. Skip 1 st, sc in next st and each across. (5 sc) Turn.
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, sc in each st across. (5 sc) Turn.
Finish off, leaving about 6 inches of yarn at the end. Sew the band around the bow snugly and weave in the end. Leave the long tail to attach your bow to whatever object you wish!
Finished bow is approximately 4″ long and 1″ high, perfect for all your baby-gender-marking needs.
